Jennifer Sansosti and Trevor Seip, who are both in their late 20s, said the 20-foot-long marine shipping containers, which they bought for $1,500, are now outfitted with running water and electricity on their Ellsworth property, the Bangor Daily News reported Tuesday.
The couple said they plan to augment their living quarters with a greenhouse, a wood stove and adobe structures.
"We want to minimize our cost of living, but maximize our standard of living," Seip said.
