"Sex and the City" creator Darren Star is developing a pair of scripts for UPN TV, including one set in New York's tony Hamptons.

Star will executive produce, but not write, the two projects -- both of which are expected to follow his popular brand of steamy adult-themed dramas, Daily Variety reported Tuesday.

Under the deal, UPN is committed to turning at least one of Star's proposals into a pilot, Variety said.

Writers Dan and Ashley McDermott are believed to be working on the Hamptons script about a pair of orphaned teens who move in with their wealthy aunt and uncle, Variety said.

Star and UPI are reportedly working on ideas for the second script.
