Friday's announcement by hotel heiress and reality TV star Paris Hilton, 24, that her engagement to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, 22, was kaput brought to six the number of celeb couples that went south with the onset of autumn.

In her statement, Hilton simply said she "wasn't ready for marriage."

Among the other breakups that fed the tabloids last month were the 4-month marriage of actress Renee Zellweger and country music star Kenny Chesney and the 5-month marriage of "One Tree Hill" co-stars Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murphy.

Comedian Kathy Griffin also filed for divorce from her husband of 4 1/2 years, Jamie-Lynn DiScala of "The Sopranos" left her husband of two years and "Beverly Hills 90210" star Tori Spelling announced she had left husband Charlie Shanian after only a year.
