Oscar-winning actor Sean Connery is "very fit" and "100 percent plus" after having a tumor removed in a New York hospital, it was revealed Sunday.

A spokesman for film's 1960s "James Bond" said the actor is home in the Bahamas getting ready to record a voiceover for Scotland's National Party, the BBC reported Sunday.
"It is true that Sean had a successful procedure carried out some weeks ago but he's now fighting fit and raring to go," SNP leader Alex Salmond said.
Added Connery's rep: "He's very fit, he's 100 percent plus."
Connery played James Bond in seven films between 1962 and 1983 including "Dr. No" and "Diamonds Are Forever."
