The change begins Jan. 21.
Daily Variety reported that "Battlestar" has seen a slight decrease in viewers in the last season. The series has averaged 2.1 million viewers, down from 2.3 million the previous season.
Sci Fi exec VP of programming Mark Stern explained the move was made in the hopes of bringing the number of viewers back up.
"Sunday is the home for premiere programming and for us, that's 'Battlestar,'" he told the Daily Variety.
