Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn have broken up after dating for about four months, People.com reported Friday.
They also attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner party in Washington in April and actress Reese Witherspoon's wedding in March.
People.com said the reason for their breakup was unclear and their publicists declined to comment about the end of the couple's romance.
Johansson is divorced from actor Ryan Reynolds and Penn is divorced from actress Robin Wright.
