Internet pranksters used a technique known as "Google bombing" to make French President Nicholas Sarkozy's name the top result for an insulting phrase.

The pranksters used a series of sites linking the term "trou du cul" -- a phrase roughly translating to "hole of the anus" -- to Sarkozy's Facebook account, causing the social networking page to become the top search result for the phrase, Radio France Internationale reported Tuesday.
Sarkozy's office did not immediately comment on the prank.
Previous targets of high-profile Google bomb pranks include linking the word "liar" to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's official Web site and the phrase "miserable failure" to the site of former U.S. President George W. Bush.
