Sarah Jessica Parker eyeing Adam Shankman's 'Slammer' film

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker and director Adam Shankman are in negotiations for the dark comedy "Slammer," the Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

"Slammer," a Revolution Studios production, follows crafty publicist Maggie Ray, who is framed for theft and shipped to Sing Sing prison in New York. In an attempt to polish the prison's image, she produces an inmate-led musical that possibly could save her career.
The script is by Sara Goodman and based on a story by Tim Metcalfe and John Slotnick and a screenplay by Metcalfe.
Parker's upcoming films include "Failure to Launch,""The Family Stone" and "Strangers With Candy."
Shankman most recently directed "The Pacifier" and next directs "Cheaper by the Dozen 2." His other credits include "The Wedding Planner" and "A Walk to Remember."
