U.S. actress Sandra Bullock has requested that her restraining order be renewed against a man she says has been stalking her for seven years.

TV's "Entertainment Tonight" said Bullock's attorney filed the court documents Monday, seeking a renewal of the protective order she first obtained against Thomas James Weldon in 2003.

Bullock has accused Weldon of "following her to California to Texas to South Carolina, and then back to California... He sent numerous e-mails ... indicating, among other things, that he wants to have a relationship with her," "ET" quoted the paperwork as saying.

Bullock, a mother of a 7-month-old son, won an Oscar this year for her work in the feel-good movie "The Blind Side."

She has made headlines in recent months because of her divorce from reality television personality Jesse James, her husband of nearly five years.
