"It's my money too. I'm putting money in that bank. I don't want it robbed any more than anyone else," Kirk Pfaff said, reports WGTV-San Diego.
The incident occurred Tuesday at a Bank of America branch where Pfaff said he was standing in line to make a deposit, when he saw the robbery happening, the report said.
"I was standing right behind him. He couldn't see me. I could see his hands -- it was the perfect opportunity to grab this guy," Pfaff said.
No one was hurt in the incident. Later Pfaff agreed with police that confronting criminals in such situations is usually not a good idea. The 53-year-old suspect is jail.
