"Stay" star Ryan Gosling is joining Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins in Gregory Hoblit's thriller, "Fracture."

The Castle Rock/New Line film will feature Gosling as a young assistant district attorney who is trying to find Hopkins' character, a suspected attempted killer.
Hopkins' "The World's Fastest Indian" opens Dec. 9 in New York and Los Angeles and the actor is currently filming Emilio Estevez's Robert Kennedy assassination drama "Bobby."
TV's "Young Hercules," Gosling co-starred in the big screen's "Murder by Numbers" and hit the big time with Rachel McAdams in the romantic hit "The Notebook."
