Roswell, N.M., has offered to sell local businesses the rights to print the city's official UFO logo on merchandise promoting a 2007 festival.

The logo, designed for the 2007 Amazing Roswell UFO Festival, features a space craft flying across a circular image reading "The Roswell Incident 60th Anniversary 1947-2007," the Roswell (N.M.) Daily Record reported Tuesday.

City spokesperson Renee Roach said the price for use of the logo is $500 for one product line, $800 for two product lines and $1,000 for three product lines. Higher numbers of product lines are negotiable.

Roswell Mayor Sam LaGrone said he hopes local businesses will cooperate and play a role in the four-day UFO Festival, which begins July 5.
