Robby Hayes told The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher he was in love with her on their very first one-on-one date in Uruguay, and while Fletcher seemed over-the-moon at the time, she admits maybe those three little words came too soon.

"Robby was the first one to tell me he loved me, so I was a little worried maybe he was trying to fill a void," Fletcher, 25, admitted to People in its latest issue.

Fletcher had doubts about how deep Hayes' love could possibly be when they had only known each other for a matter of weeks and he was fresh out of a long-term relationship with ex-girlfriend Hope Higginbotham.

Hayes told Fletcher he broke up with Higginbotham in December of last year although a production source previously told Us Weekly they split in January 2016.

"Four years with ex? That's a long time," Fletcher noted. "I've struggled with trust issues -- most girls have."

Despite her concerns, Fletcher chose to believe that Hayes was completely genuine and sincere in his words and actions.

"I don't believe any of my guys would have stayed if their feelings weren't real," the Bachelorette said. "I trusted them unless they gave me a reason not to. If you go into this situation looking for the worst, you won't find anybody."

Fletcher expressed how multiple men falling in love with her at the same time was both "exciting but overwhelming."

"It's so crazy. Watching it takes me back to each moment," said the Dallas-based real estate developer. "I remember exactly how I was feeling. But the kissing makes me cringe! There are certain makeout scenes with the music and the up-close sound effects, and it's like, 'Oh man, my father is watching!'"

The Bachelorette's twelfth season began as a fun adventure for Fletcher and slowly progressed into a process so real, intense and emotional.

"Each date got so much more serious," Fletcher confessed. "[Jordan Rogers] tells me he loves me; Robby tells me he's in love with me; [Chase McNary] tells me he wants to spend his life with me. It's all such big stuff."
