Richard Simmons has made it back home following a three day stay at the hospital to treat "severe indigestion."
The fitness guru was said to have arrived home Thursday as "a bunch of paparazzi" had formed outside his house, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department shared with Entertainment Tonight.
"Two LAPD detectives stood by and kept the peace," the spokesperson said. "Richard got into his house safely."
According to TMZ, Simmons draped himself in a blanket so as not to be seen as he was escorted into his home.
On Wednesday, the 68-year-old shared on Facebook an update on his health and well-being assuring fans that he was healthy despite his recent medical issues and his absence from the public eye.
"Hello to everyone who has shown concern for me and sent their good wishes. You will never know how much it means to me," Simmons wrote.
"Aren't you sick of hearing and reading about me?! LOL Well by now you know that I'm not 'missing.' just a little under the weather. I'm sure I will be feeling good and back home in a couple of days."
In March, the LAPD confirmed that Simmons was not being held hostage by his housekeeper Teresa Reveles noting that he was "perfectly fine."
"He is fine, nobody is holding him hostage. He is doing exactly what he wants to do. If he wants to go out in public or see anybody he will do that," Det. Kevin Becker said following fan concern from allegations made on Episode 3 of Dan Taberski's podcast titled "Missing Richard Simmons."
