Actress Robin Givens is upset her ex-husband, Mike Tyson, has been interviewed for Friday's edition of "The View," a source told the New York Daily News.

Tyson was booked to appear on the daytime chat show to promote his new Animal Planet series "The Birdman of Boxing."

"View" co-host and producer Barbara Walters last interviewed Tyson in a joint appearance with Givens on TV's "20/20" in 1988.

During that chat, Givens described her 8-month-old marriage to the boxer as "torture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine." The couple divorced in 1989.

A "View" source told the Daily News Givens personally asked the show not to bring up her name during the interview with her ex-husband this week.

"When Robin got word that Mike would be on the show, she reacted immediately," the News source said. "She'd rather not have Mike rehash their rather tumultuous relationship. That was a bad time for her, and she's moved on."

However, the show reportedly did not oblige Givens' request.

"Barbara asked Mike Tyson several questions about their 1988 bombshell interview during (the) taping, which Tyson answered," a representative for "The View" told the newspaper.

Givens' publicist denied the actress contacted ABC, adding, "Robin wishes Mike only the best."
