A warm embrace between Prince William and the Duchess of Cornwall has observers speculating that he has developed a fondness for his new stepmother.

Hellomagazine.com reports the 22-year-old prince kissed Camilla on both cheeks after he and his father competed in the charity polo match over the weekend in Gloucestershire.

It was the first time William has shown open affection for Camilla in front of photographers, the magazine said. William and his brother both kissed Camilla after their father married her in April, but it was out of the view of photographers.

As further evidence of the development of a warm family relationship, the magazine noted that William and the Duchess rode together recently in an open-top carriage during the Trooping of the Colour.

The Duchess will also attend William's graduation from St. Andrews University next week.
