Australian actress Nicole Kidman has been told she will be granted an annulment of her marriage to Tom Cruise, allowing her to remarry in a Catholic Church.

Kidman's family has held discussions with a Catholic priest about arrangements for a wedding to fellow Australian, country singer Keith Urban, a source told the Melbourne Herald Sun.

The Catholic Church does not allow divorcees to remarry, but it is believed Kidman was told she would be granted an annulment because her marriage to Cruise did not conform to the requirements of the church.

A spokeswoman for Kidman called the rumors "nonsense." As far as she knew, the publicist said, Kidman and Urban are not engaged and are not planning a wedding.

Kidman and Urban have been dating for the past year, but publicly confirmed their relationship only when they attended the Grammy Awards together in February.
