Actress Michelle Rodriguez is set to reprise her role as Ana-Lucia Cortez on the U.S. TV series "Lost" via a series of featured flashbacks, a report said.

"Access Hollywood" reported that the 28-year-old actress, whose character was killed in the series' second season, was seen on the Hawaiian island of Oahu where "Lost" shoots and was filming a series of flashback clips for the series.

The return of the Cortez character appears part of an ABC promotion for the second half of the third season of "Lost" that apparently involved the resurgence of several old characters.

Her planned TV return thrusts Rodriguez back into the media spotlight where she previously spent time over her drunken driving arrest last year and her alleged romantic relationship with film actress Kristanna Loken.

"Access Hollywood" reported that the back half of the popular series' third season, including Rodriguez's episodes, is scheduled to begin on Feb. 7.
