Madonna is reportedly at the top of it of American Idol creator Simon Fuller's wish list of possible replacements for departing judge Simon Cowell.
"Everyone agrees Madge would be great and they want her as a full-time judge. But if that fails they'd at least like her as a mentor."
Cowell's potential replacement has been a hot topic of conversation ever since he inked a January deal to end his American Idol role and launch an American edition of his British The X Factor reality competition series for Fox in Fall 2011. He subsequently described Madonna as an unlikely replacement since the show requires a serious time commitment and the singer is busy recording, touring and caring for her four children.
