Report: Jesse Ventura in talks to star in NBC sitcom

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is reportedly in talks to star in a comedy series for NBC.

The Hollywood Reporter quotes sources Thursday saying the former pro wrestler has been meeting with writers and kicking around ideas with NBC brass.

NBC declined to comment on the report.

Ventura's "Jesse Ventura's America" ran for two months in 2003 on MSNBC. The former pro wrestler and Hollywood actor also served as an analyst for NBC's 2001 coverage of the Xtreme Football League.
