Actress Jennifer Aniston recently enjoyed a quiet dinner with her mother, Nancy, at a New York eatery despite the duo's very troubled past, a report said.

The mother and daughter were seen eating dinner together Oct. 22, despite an estranged relationship that was the topic of the elder Aniston's 1999 memoir, "From Mother and Daughter to Friends." The two seemed happy, said OK! magazine.

"She was super-nice, really polite," a witness said about the former "Friends" star.

"She was sweet," the witness added. "She was with her mom and they had a really nice time."

The source said the 37-year-old actress had her mother and herself seated at a corner table so they would not be bothered as they apparently reconciled, the magazine reported.
