Jackson, 39, has battled weight problems most of her life and recently ballooned from 118 pounds to 160 pounds, a source told Sunday's New York Daily News.
"She'll go months eating whatever she can get her hands on, and then she'll go months eating just salads and fruits and drinking Evian water," the family source said. "She's had this feast-or-famine eating disorder for years and has gotten up to 200 pounds or more at times."
The source said Jackson is back with her personal trainer, Tony Martinez, in an effort to get back in shape by the time her album is released in the spring.
Jackson has been under considerable stress, the News noted, especially since she has become responsible for supporting her family amid her brother Michael's legal and financial woes.
