Popular comedian Dave Chappelle, who has returned from his spiritual retreat in South Africa, may be trying to resume his act, reports E! Online.

Chapelle met with Comedy Central President Doug Herzog last Friday in Los Angeles, the report said. His retreat in South Africa had effectively shut down the third season production of his "Chappelle's Show."
Comedy Central spokesman Tony Fox did not reveal any details of the meeting, including when or if Chappelle would return to the network.
But, E! Online said, under the terms of the $50 million contract Chappelle signed last summer, he's supposedly locked into a production deal with the network through 2006.
Chappelle has denied rumors that his unscheduled vacation was the result of drug or psychiatric problems.
