Jennifer Lopez, Luke Wilson, John Travolta and Shirley MacLaine are in talks to head up the cast of the big screen version of the 1980s TV soap, "Dallas."

Lopez has been offered the role of Sue Ellen Ewing, Wilson would play Bobby Ewing, MacLaine would be Miss Ellie and Travolta would take the pivitol role of J.R. Ewing, Daily Variety reported Tuesday.

Director Robert Luketic has put in offers for all the stars, but no deals have been finalized yet. However, Variety said not to expect any changes in the lineup when production begins in October.

Luketic reportedly considered Mel Gibson and Kevin Costner for the J.R. role before deciding on Travolta, Variety said.
