Rebecca Romijn and boyfriend Jerry O'Connell get engaged

Actor Jerry O'Connell and his girlfriend of one year, model-turned-actress Rebecca Romijn are engaged, it was reported Tuesday.

Romijn, who was married to actor John Stamos for five years before their split last year, accepted O'Connell's proposal at his New York home a couple of days ago, "Entertainment Tonight" reports.
Romijn and O'Connell released a statement saying: "We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives."
It would be the first marriage for O'Connell.
