The post card mailed by Pvt. Walter Butler from the trenches during World War I mysteriously appeared in the delivery sack of postman Martin Kay, The Telegraph said Friday.
Kay said he researched the item and found that while Butler and Amy Hicks, the girlfriend he later married, had died, they had a daughter who is now 86 years old.
The daughter, Joyce Hulbert, said she is curious as to why the delivery took so long.
"I would love to know where it has been all this time," she said.
