Police: Suspect lost his license plate doing burnouts

New Jersey police said a man accused of using his vehicle to do donuts and burnouts in a county-owned area was caught when police found his license plate.
Mansfield police said Robert Smith Jr., 21, of Oxford, was charged Wednesday with reckless driving, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he allegedly used his car to perform donuts and burnouts Aug. 1 on roads and grassy county-owned areas near the Warren Haven Nursing Home, The (Newark, N.J.) Star-Ledger reported Thursday.
Lt. Roger Doll of the Washington Township Police Department said Smith allegedly did burnouts in neighboring Oxford on the same day. He said Smith was identified when Washington officers found his license plate, which apparently fell from the vehicle while he was doing burnouts.
Doll said Smith is likely to face several more traffic summonses related to his alleged actions Aug. 1.
