Police in Pennsylvania said a drunk man who allegedly stole a car and crashed it into a pole left his wallet and cellphone behind in the vehicle.

Investigators said Chad David Caldwell, 27, of Butler stole the car, which was unlocked with the keys inside, from outside of a Summit Township bar about 10 p.m. Friday, The (Youngstown, Ohio) Vindicator reported Monday.
State police allege Caldwell abandoned the car after crashing into a mailbox and a utility pole, but police recovered his wallet and cellphone from inside the car.
Caldwell was arrested at his home and admitted to drunkenly stealing and crashing the car, police allege. He was charged with motor vehicle theft, hit-skip and drunken driving.
