The 18-year-old Domino's Pizza deliverywoman said she was delivering a pizza to a home when three men surrounded her, grabbed her cash and two pizzas, reported the Wilmington (Del.) News Journal.
However, shortly afterwards one of the alleged robbers called her cell phone, apologized and asked her for a date, said county police spokesman Trinidad Navarro.
Officers traced the call to Brent Brown, who was charged with second-degree robbery and conspiracy. He denied any part in the robbery and said two people could verify he was elsewhere during the robbery.
