A paintball gun-wielding college student in Minneapolis apologized after police were called to a parking garage where he was practicing for a film shoot.

St. Paul police said they went to the parking ramp at the Atrium Office Building on Bandana Boulevard at about 12:55 p.m. after a report of a man with a semiautomatic weapon and found Cameron Mihock, 18, holding a paintball gun, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Tuesday.

"As soon as I saw them I went, 'Oh God,' " said Mihock, a student at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. "This was the moment our teacher had warned us about, and we had forgotten."

Mihock, who said he was there to rehearse a movie scene with an actress, the director and the cinematographer, said his teacher had warned the class about past "mix-ups" during filming and urged them to use caution when using fake weapons.

"We felt bad," Milhock said. "We didn't mean to cause any trouble."

St. Paul police spokesman John Keating said everyone involved is "fortunate that this ended as it did."

"While it appears that no crime was committed, the students' poor decisions put themselves and our officers in a dangerous situation," he said.
