Poles getting 'easy' Ukraine licenses

Polish police say they are powerless to stop Polish citizens from getting "fast and easy" driver's licenses in Ukraine.

Authorities said Ukrainian companies are luring Poles with advertisements promising "fast" and "easy" licenses with a "guarantee that you'll pass," Polish Radio reported Wednesday.

The licenses cost about $730 and do not require applicants to speak Ukrainian, pass a written exam or even take a road test.

The Ukrainian licenses can then be exchanged in Poland for local licenses for only $26.
