Police said an apparently drunk 18-year-old man on a JetBlue flight to New York urinated on the leg of a sleeping 11-year-old girl.

Port Authority police said Robert Vietze of Vermont stumbled over to the girl from his seat, five rows back on the Wednesday flight from Portland, Ore., and urinated on her while her father and sister were using the lavatories, the New York Post reported Thursday.

"I was drunk, and I did not realize I was pissing on her leg," Vietze said.

Vietze, who said he had consumed eight alcoholic beverages prior to the incident, was issued a federal summons for indecent exposure and released after the plane landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Authorities said a person on the same flight became ill after the incident, complaining of chest pains and vomiting. The passenger was escorted off the plane by Port Authority officers.
