The Institute of Physics has commissioned a ballet about Albert Einstein from choreographer Mark Baldwin to premiere in London in May.

The Rambert Dance Company announced the ballet Thursday.
Baldwin has headed the Rambert group since 2002 but the new work, to be titled "Constant Speed," is the first he has created for the company. It will mark the 100th anniversary since the German-American Einstein first proclaimed the E=mc2 equation (energy equals mass times the speed of light, squared) when he was 26 years old.
Baldwin said his ballet will be an interpretation of this movement, known as Brownian motion. He has chosen music by light opera composer Franz Lehar, best known for "The Merry Widow," as a score for the work.
The premiere will be performed at the Sadler's Wells Theater, the Rambert ballet's home, with many leading scientists in attendance.
