"She's the one who went out there topless," Peter Brandt told ABC News Radio's David Blaustein. "I didn't go looking for it."
Brandt also said he has not sold the photos of a topless Aniston in the backyard of her Hollywood Hills home.
"You know, they're suing me and all the publications who are publishing them, and I haven't sold them anywhere," he said.
However, he did admit to sending the topless shots around to editors along with photos of Aniston and her reported boyfriend, actor Vince Vaughn.
"But I wasn't intending to sell those," he added.
Aniston's lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Friday claims Brandt invaded her privacy by using a telephoto lens to take the topless photos "from a great distance." The suit seeks monetary damages and a court order to stop Brandt and anyone else from making money from the photos.
