Peter Weber is denying his ex-girlfriend's claims he dumped her to appear on Hannah Brown's 2019 season of The Bachelorette.

"There was a lot of truth to what she said in her story, but there is also a lot of truth that wasn't mentioned," Peter, 27, told People. "The show had absolutely nothing to do with me ending that relationship."

Atlanta-based model named Calee Lutes publicly came forward and accused the airline pilot of suddenly and unexpectedly dumping her just before Christmas to go on The Bachelorette in an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month.

"He absolutely betrayed me. He interviewed for a reality dating show while simultaneously planning a future with me," Calee told ET about Peter.

Peter insisted he was not dating Calee when he interviewed for The Bachelorette. Peter also claimed he had been more invested in the relationship at one point than Calee seemed to be.

"I was very serious in trying to progress that relationship and move it forward," Peter told People.

"And she wasn't on the same page as me. That being said, I wasn't going to waste her time or my time. But the casting process and my first interview was months after we broke up."

Calee had claimed she met California-based Peter on a dating app in June 2018 and they maintained a "very serious" but long-distance relationship during which Peter said, "I love you," and they met each other's families.

Calee alleged Peter wanted to move in together and spoke about their future and eventually welcoming children, but then he dumped her two days before Christmas.

Calee had said she felt "devastated and completely blindsided" by her breakup with Peter, especially since he supposedly offered no good reason as to why he wanted to end things.

"It's obvious that I hurt someone that I really did care about," Peter told People, adding that he regrets ever causing his ex pain. "That was never my intention. And for that I'm sorry. Breakups suck!"

Calee told ET that she thought Peter dumped her to go on The Bachelorette because she noticed late last year a show producer had begun following Peter on Instagram and then he deleted every trace of Calee from his page.

Calee alleged she didn't find out about Peter's casting on The Bachelorette until March 2019, when the rest of the world did.

According to Calee, Peter also cheated on her during their six-month relationship.

"I trusted him entirely and he pulled the rug out from under me. Also, if all of this wasn't bad enough, I've had multiple people reach out to me and tell me that he was seeing other women while we were exclusive."

To make matters worse, Calee alleged her romance with Peter didn't exactly end in December 2018 when he unexpectedly dumped her.

"We still kept in touch after the breakup, and we were trying to see each other again, up until early March, shortly before he left for filming. When I found out about the show, I texted him and told him that he owed me an explanation, but I never heard a word back," Calee claimed.

"That's the most shocking part of all... I thought he would've at least had enough decency to apologize," Calee added.

"If he showed me even the smallest amount of sympathy for what he did to me, I probably wouldn't have spoken out... He definitely didn't go on the show for the right reasons. I believe he went on it for the chance at fame."

Before Peter spoke out about Calee's allegations, former The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay and former The Bachelor star Nick Viall defended Peter amid all the gossip.

"Quite honestly, I think it's a lot to do about nothing," Nick said during an appearance on Good Morning America's "Strahan & Sara" show earlier this month.

"I mean, from what I understand, [Peter] broke up with her. He broke up with her before Christmas. Final casting doesn't happen until January, so at best, all he knew was that it was an option."

Nick added in annoyance, "How long do you have to break up with someone before you can go on the show?"

"I think [Jed Wyatt] should've taken a page out of Peter's book. Like, this is the way to do it," Rachel added, referencing how Jed allegedly went on The Bachelorette still dating a woman with the intention of resuming their relationship after the show."

"Peter did it right -- he broke up with her and then he focused on Hannah, like, why are we upset about that?"

The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison apparently doesn't believe there's much merit to Calee's allegations either.

Chris told ET late last week he would interview Peter about the claims and reveal "some truths" he allegedly discovered while doing some digging himself during The Bachelorette's two-night finale event.

It's unclear whether this footage will air Tuesday night, however, since Peter already had his time in the hotseat on Monday's broadcast after his elimination was shown.

The Bachelorette will air Part 2 of the finale on Tuesday, July 30 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, and Hannah will have to choose between Jed and Tyler Cameron.

Hints have been dropped, however, Hannah may not get her happy ending. Click here to read the latest spoilers.
