Paula Abdul and James Corden recreated the singer's "Opposites Attract" music video Tuesday on The Late Late Show.

The pair lip synced and danced on stage in front of a large clock similar to the one in the 1989 video. Corden even wore a furry cat suit to emulate the animated character, MC Skat Kat, who appears with Abdul in the original.

"Opposites Attract" appeared on Abdul's debut studio album, Forever Your Girl, in 1988, and was released as a single in 1989. The song's music video won a Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video in 1991.

The video was inspired by the Gene Kelly film Anchors Aweigh, which sees the actor dance with Jerry Mouse of Tom and Jerry. Music duo The Wild Pair, Bruce DeShazer and Marv Gunn, voiced MC Skat Kat in "Opposites Attract."

Abdul last released Head Over Heels in 1995, and went on to host such reality competitions as "American Idol," "Live to Dance" and "The X Factor." She currently serves as a judge on "So You Think You Can Dance's" twelfth season.
