Paula Abdul blasts Rosie O'Donnell over Parkinson's suggestion

By Christopher Rocchio, 08/10/2007

Move over Donald Trump.  It looks like Rosie O'Donnell might have found a new verbal sparring partner in American Idol judge Paula Abdul.

The former The View co-host recently conversed with a fan on her Internet blog about the possibility that Abdul is suffering from Parkinson's Disease, Extra reported Thursday.

It was the straw that apparently broke the camel's back, as O'Donnell had previously referred to Abdul as "desperate, raw, vulnerable" and "so needy for love," according to the syndicated entertainment news program.

"This is absolutely ridiculous and untrue that Paula has Parkinson's," Abdul's representative Jeff Ballard told Extra in a written statement.  "Rosie's been the object of rumors herself and I would think she would be more responsible about starting them herself.  Paula considers Rosie a friend.  She's been to Paula's house. They've had dinner, and personally I think Rosie should mind her own business."

O'Donnell quickly tried to fan the flames, presumably not wanting the situation to escalate.

"She's not feuding with Paula," O'Donnell's representatives told Extra.  "She's just stating her thoughts on her blog."
