A Gibsonville, N.C., parking lot owner has raised eyebrows and some tempers with signs that ban Obama supporters from parking.

Parking lot owner Tim Henderson, who is supporting Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., for president, said the two signs posted in his lot ban parking by supporters of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., WFMY-TV, Greensboro, N.C., reported Thursday.

"I don't know how many ways you can interpret it. If you're an Obama supporter, you've got an Obama sticker on your car, you're not welcome to park here," Henderson said.

However, he said he would not enforce the signs strictly.

"I don't expect to go after anyone with a baseball bat. I would grin at 'em and laugh and ask 'em if they could read English," he said.

Many residents, including Mayor Lenny Williams, have called for the signs to be taken down.

"If he said Obama folks could park here but McCain couldn't I wouldn't like that either," Williams said.
