Some U.S. babies are becoming wired with their own e-mail addresses and their own Web site domain names -- while they're still in the crib.

Parents have been buying Web sites and e-mail addresses in the names of the next generation, long before their children can sit in front of the computer -- or in some cases, before they have even left the womb.
The father of 22-month-old Luke Seeley purchased two Web sites after an ultrasound showed his first child was a boy -- four months before Luke was born, the New York Times reported Sunday.
"It's like owning a piece of real estate online for him," said Gordon Seeley, who lives in Vancouver, Wash. "By the time he's a teenager and he's really into the Internet, who knows what's going to be left in terms of domains?"
