A bathroom supply company said online voters chose the restrooms at Fountain on Locust in St. Louis, Mo., as the finest public lavatories in the nation.
The Cincinnati-based Cintas Corporation said voters in its ninth annual "America's Best Restroom" poll picked the St. Louis ice cream parlor's restrooms as the best of the 10 finalists.
"We are absolutely thrilled and honored to have been chosen by the public as having the Best Restrooms in America," said Joy Christensen, owner of the Fountain on Locust. "We put a lot of thought and effort into the design and construction, and we are certain that many of our customers come back because they know our bathrooms are not just unique but also clean. Earning this national recognition means a lot to our entire staff."
Second on the list was the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, with New York's Bryant Park third. Pictures of the winning restrooms can be viewed at bestrestroom.com.
