Alam said a buddy from Queens flew out to Los Angeles to keep him company on the second half of his cross-country adventure back to the Big Apple.
"Nothing bothering for me," Alam told WINS radio, New York, this weekend. "Little tired, I feel good."
Alam's journey from La Guardia Airport covered 2,448 miles and six days. The fare was settled at $5,000, which was paid by New Jersey residents John Belitsky and Dan Wuebben.
Belitsky told Newjerseynewsroom.com the trip was kind of a spur-of-the-moment idea to celebrate Belitsky's birthday and do something "magical."
The trip took the trio through Chicago, Nebraska, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. They pulled into Los Angeles Saturday.
Alam, a native of Bangladesh, told WINS the adventure was something he would never forget. "Nothing is impossible in this world," he said. "We can do everything whatever we want."
