Variety reports that Norwegian public broadcaster NRK's new reality show is relying on gray power -- in "Super Seniors," sixtysomethings have just 10 weeks to produce a revue.

"There are no losers in this series, nobody is sent home, and in the end, the participants have actually achieved something," said executive producer Vidar Nordli-Mathisen. "If you find the right people in their 60s, they are much more interesting to watch than young people," he said.

The six contestants aged at least 62, drawn from 600 entrants, are gathered at a high school, where they have been assigned to produce the annual local revue. Cameras will follow them during the 10-week process.

In 42 episodes they select the themes, write the sketches, make the scenery and then rehearse the show, which is staged in the final program. They may call in six more elderly people or seek help in the small community.
