A Norwegian acrobat has canceled his appearance on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" as part of a political protest, it was reported Tuesday.

Eskil Ronningsbakken was supposed to perform a stunt atop a New York skyscraper then be interviewed by Letterman, but he told the newspaper Hamar Arbeiderblad he is refusing to honor the contract with the show because of last week's U.S. bombing of a Pakistani town, Aftenposten reported.
"After Friday's (bombing), it's not of interest to contribute anything at all to a country like the USA," Ronningsbakken said.
Ronningsbakken has been performing since he was a child and has performed death-defying stunts with circus groups in Norway, Germany and Brazil, Aftenposten said.
