A British television documentary maker abandoned her daily bath, beauty and cleansing routine to see what would happen to her body.

Nicky Taylor filled two garbage bags with products to find out how she'd look and feel without the aid of modern beauty treatments, the Daily Mail reported Friday. Plus, no showers after her morning run.
"I always think I look absolutely terrible if I haven't washed my hair that morning, when the reality is that other people don't really notice at all," she says.
Before starting her six-week experiment, Taylor had scientists from the University of Leeds take swabs from her armpits, mouth and groin to test levels of bacteria and yeasts, which would be compared with swabs taken at the end of the six weeks.
Aside from a cavity, a skipped wedding and a few wrinkled noses, the Kidderminster mother of three said the experiment went pretty well.
What happened? Her skin glowed, a cyst on her eyelid disappeared and a bout of irritable bowel syndrome subsided.
