Police Chief Greg Suhr said Mark Lugo, 30, arrived in San Francisco from Hoboken, N.J., Monday and took Picasso's "Tete de Femme (Head of a Woman)" from the Weinstein Gallery the following day, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Friday.

Investigators said they found Lugo at a Napa apartment complex where he was staying with friends and the 1965 sketch, which the gallery was in the process of selling for more than $200,000, was recovered. Lugo was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Lugo was believed to be working alone and was preparing to have the painting shipped to an unidentified person, police said.
