Jordan Michael Geller, 34, who said he owns at least one pair of Nikes for every year since 1972, said he used e-mails, Facebook, video messages and 112 handwritten letters to convince seven top Nike officials, including Chief Executive Officer Mark Parker, to visit his ShoeZeum March 21, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Monday.

"I felt like a Tetris piece that had found its home," he said. "This is like De Beers telling you that your diamond collection is legit ... When the seven guys were out here, the fan in me wanted to ask for their autographs."

Geller said his ultimate goal is to have a job with Nike. Tinker Hatfield, vice president of design and special projects for Nike, said Geller might get his wish -- the executives are considering the possibilities for Geller and the ShoeZeum, he said.
