Nick Viall dabbled in acting after his stint on The Bachelor's 21st season, and now the podcast host is apparently trying to pursue it as a real career.

"I assume people have very low expectations when it comes to my acting career so I feel like, nowhere to go but up!" Nick, who hosts The Viall Files, joked in a recent interview with Us Weekly.

Nick, 39, is reportedly playing a reality TV star in The Coop, an eight-episode interactive series made in partnership with Funny or Die, which creator Nora Kirkpatrick told the magazine is like when Big Brother meets the game Clue.

Although Nick tends to be self-deprecating about his acting gig, Nora insisted he's selling himself short.

"He was wonderful and very talented. A joy to work with," Nora revealed. "He was there on set 100 percent as an actor. He did a wonderful, wonderful job."

Nick said he looks forward to the day when his accomplishments outshine gossip about his dating life.

Nick told Us that he's waiting for the day when "people care more about my acting career or podcasts or other things I'm doing rather than who I'm not dating."

"That would be great," noted Nick, who sparked dating rumors in July when he and Rachel Bilson exchanged flirty messages on social media.

Rumors also swirled earlier this month Nick was dating The Bachelor alum Demi Burnett, but he denied such speculation and insisted Demi is just his close friend.

However, Nick said he hopes "to be very excited" when he meets a very special woman of romantic interest.

"I had a lot of fun and got to work with some incredible actors like [Veep's] Tony Hale and [People of the Earth's Brian Huskey]. It's great," Nick told Us.

"Just a really cool opportunity and I think it's really smart comedy and just happy to be a part of it."

Nick also previously appeared on episodes of Teachers and Speechless. He also played himself on the soap opera General Hospital.

Nick said he has received some great acting advice from celebrity friends including Topher Grace and his wife, Ashley Hinshaw, who reportedly told him to take on projects he's passionate about.

Nick starred on The Bachelor in 2017 and got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi, but he and Vanessa split less than six months after the finale aired in March of that year.

The Bachelor's 24th season is scheduled to premiere in January 2020, and Nick reportedly advised the upcoming star, Peter Weber, to "listen to producers" and "not be stupid."

He also warned Peter to "stay off social media."
