Nick Cannon's health issues are apparently more serious than previously disclosed.

"Under doctor's orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule," Cannon said in a statement released Thursday.
"It has been an absolute pleasure working with CBS Radio and the 92.3 NOW morning show team and I would like to thank them for their unwavering support. I will continue to host my syndicated Cannon's Countdown weekend show and look forward to contributing to 92.3 NOW whenever possible. Even Superman has to sleep."
Cannon has hosted Rollin' with Nick Cannon, a morning drive show which airs on New York City's 92.3 NOW radio station, for two years.
He was hospitalized for a week with what was termed "mild kidney failure" while on a New Years Eve vacation in Aspen, CO with his wife Mariah Carey late last year.
Yesterday, he revealed he had recently been re-hospitalized with additional health issues.
"It's my first day back since Friday, and not many people have known this but, uh... I've been in the hospital since Friday," he told listeners during Thursday's Rollin' with Nick Cannon broadcast.
"I was having a lot of pain in my back... I learned that I had blood clots in my lungs... an enlarged ventricle in the right side of my heart."
