'Newlyweds' star Jessica Simpson denies Fred Durst rumors

"Newlyweds" TV star and pop diva Jessica Simpson says a report of an alleged dalliance with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is "absolutely untrue."

A column in the Las Vegas Review-Journal described Simpson and Durst as being "all over each other" at a weekend event at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel while Simpson's husband, Nick Lachey, was nowhere to be seen.
However, a spokesman for Simpson told the World Entertainment News Network Simpson and Durst had mutual friends at the event and "the rest is absolutely untrue."
Simpson and Lachey, who starred in MTV's "Newlyweds," recently bought a $1 million condominium in Las Vegas.
