The NY Post reports that a new British show called "Sick Day" will follow three men who will try and catch as many ailments as possible. Potential maladies include nits, lice, flu, venereal diseases and warts (a virus) and a cold. The three contestants will live together in a house jammed with cameras and microphones for two months.

When trying out, contestants were told they would be paid for their time and that a doctor would make sure they did not become too ill. "I was shocked when they told me what it was about," said Ray Downing, 23, a teacher from North London who auditioned. "It's up to contestants to find ways to catch the disease, but they talked about snorkeling in sewage," he said.

A spokeswoman for E4, the U.K. digital channel that plans to air the series, noted that "none of the illnesses will be life threatening.” How comforting.
